Replacing stock carbs

Hi.
I've a 1992 1.9 clipper auto stock I'm thinking about putting webbers in instead because of the trouble with getting the carbs to run correctly. Good or bad idea please?

If you want a great sound track and a bit more power it's a great idea.

However, it's expensive to do it properly as you'll be needing a manifold and carbs. You'll be looking around 500 quids ish for these plus you'll need to get the engine tuned once they are all on. Another couple of hundred possibly.

Unless you happen to be gifted with carb whispering!

I assume you mean webber as opposed to webber,s, as in the webber replacement for the old pierberg carb.
