Fuel pump to swirl port connections.

I’ve been replacing the fuel lines and having some issues with this line. This connects the fuel pump which is 11mm to swirl pot 9mm.  finding the line replacement is hard. Below is what VW Heritage said  would work but it’s twice the length so catch’s
 the brake pipe mount on the rear subframe..
what have other people done about this odd sizes pipe that goes from 11 to 9mm
