Window switches act slow or not at all?

Post

My passenger side window switch was either having a delay or not working at all and then suddenly rolled down the window at will.
I took the switch assembly out and removed the bezel and rocker lever and then dropped the unit in my ultrasonic cleaner . I do motherboard level repair and so I use the cleaner all the time on boards. I also use ultra pure water. it's 18.2 megs and theoretically the cleanest water one could get. It doesn't conduct electricity and tends to lift dirt and corrosion of a medium to make up for it's slightly negative charge. Combine that with a good cleaning agent and you have a great cleaner. Anyway, the switch works just like new again. no issues at all.
If you have an ultrasonic cleaner you might want to give it a try.

There is a 5-8 second delay between the left and right sides going down… Normal.

However: Hint Big Hint….
If you clip the Brown/white Ground wire to the controller (drivers door open), your controller will operate with the key out for 15 minutes, if you are like me and hop out so fast that you forgot to roll up your windows.

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

I know what you said.  What I am saying is that if you want the windows to roll up after you take your key out and if you open your door slightly, then cut the brown/white wire going in to the controller.

Other wise if you have your keys out, and forgot to roll the windows up after you have opened the door, you have to put the key back in and turn it to run to roll up the windows… Cut the brown/white wire, and you have 15 minutes of power to the controller whether the key is out or not.
