The Bulbs themselves.  Power from the gray/blue wire to the socket of the cluster…Usually the bulbs… I found from first hand experience that when you take the cluster out, to replace the bulbs…

If all the other lights work with the switch as far as other gauges, and or the radio, then it isn't the switch but the cluster itself.

If you haven't replaced the bulbs, then go for the bulbs, but check the fuses first.

On the cluster itself you probably need to add a new Ground point as well as plump the connections.  See:

many thanks, will give it a go later today, is the brown earth on the head to do with dash lights?

could this also cause my fog light to stay on?

the earth from the head to the coil bracket is needed for the MFA,  The fogs staying on has to do with a relay I would suppose, possibly the switch.

I replaced my Switch light with a Superbright LED one.

I would also say that on the cluster gauges there is the ability to pull back the mylar, then remove the light housing.  If you then take that apart you can get to the Green film that gets really cloudy, you can take that out and using 3000 grit to clean the cloudy off, then use a wax to make it clear again, or you can just leave it off.

Replace and affix with 5 minute epoxy, and then when set  carefully replace the mylar and insert the new bulbs.

took out instrument panel found all 3 bulbs blown, replaced with 2watt bulbs, cleaned circuits, replaced switch but I had to put 3 layers of electrical tape on the back where the plug connects as plug was loose and had a poor contact, tape worked great😃 IMG-20190311-WA0000.jpg

Good to hear it's all fixed..

Get some fuel in the car, not a good idea to go to low incase you start to suck up the old cr*p in the tank. Not a problem if it's nice and clean in there.
