Main beam round the wrong way

Post

Hi all
my main beams seemed to be round the wrong way when I pull the stork and the blue light comes on the dash this is normal lights them when I pull it again the blue light goes off and my full beams light up the road ??
Any ideas ??
Apparently it's a mot failure ? I don't mind it but would like to get it solved if possible
Thanks in advance

Are they relayed?  If so then they might have wired the bulbs incorrectly.

I do believe that if I pulled a Stork, it wouldn't turn blue, it would bite me.

If you turn on the switch, with the key in and in run, the headlights come on low beam.

If they don't come on check the fuses there are 4 of them for the high/low 2 per side

If the lows come on, then pulling the Stork (stalk) partially will turn the lows off (main beam) and the high portion will light along with the inner beams.

Pulling it to click will keep the center highs on as well as the highs outer.

On the lamps, there are 3 wires

Blue, white, and brown. or depending on your car

Typical headlamp wiring.

As you didn't mention your specific model, I can't be more accurate to your issue with wire or fuse numbers.

here is how the relay works, I think they are a tad screwy as the operation is wonky.
