Alternator new battery new.. starter tested good supposably .. new battery terminals and wire.
Ignition previously was a bit weird to get to turn on but after having wiring and done after I got it back from the shop the ignition would no longer turn on by itself.
The mechanic pulled or pushed on a cable near the ignition to get it to engage and have the door buzzer go off and to turn on the car rather than having to push start it so we can drive it.
He said ignition switch or maybe a wire needed to be switched . I ordered the ignition switch to see if thats the problem.
Does anyone no what wire it might be that I might also need to buy or maybe a new ignition lock cylinder since it was a bit weird to get to turn on. Maybe a relay or something .
I heard clicking when trying to turn ignition on so I think starter is good and was tested good supposedly.
Just theres no crank it has power to lights stereo and you could push start it just no could not turn on with the key .
See better.
Pictures of the engine and the cables would be nice to know as well as is it a Diesel or a Gas Engine.
Nada when turning on the ignition switch and having to push start indicates to me a basic electric issue.
Bad Battery, Bad Grounds, Bad ignition Switch.
Starters on a diesel that don't spin fast enough can be an issue as well sure they "test good"… but aren't.
Pushing a wire or jumpering a wire is still a basic electric issue.
Ignition switches go bad especially after 30+ years of use.
So again Gas engine or Diesel, then which type of gas engine does it have Carbed CIS or Digifant?
or your version

Which is easier to read? or respond to by break.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

There is supposed to be 2 wires on to the starter.
One to the Big Lug straight from the battery, then usually a red/white thinner wire from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid tab….. It usually has a black connector, and this is why you can't get the starter to spin.
Look for the wire to run over the Transmission going back to the firewall.
In one of your pictures you show a single spad connector on the starter. Well there are 2 spads, and if you place it on the wrong one it won't work…
