Hey, I'm not sure if I'm missing any fuses on the fusebox, I've attached a picture, would be a great help if anyone could let me know (I've attached a picture….) Many thanks

Posting the year of your car, and model goes a long way in figuring this out.  Depending on your optional components depends on which fuses may or may not be installed in your car.

Not all fuses are used in all cases.

www.cabby-info.com has a diagram and pictures of the Cabriolet fuse boxes for all years.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Apologies - it's 89 Cab - thanks

Is your car carb or injection?

Yours seem different from my 1988 Gti cabriolet.
I've NOT got electric windows or electric roof.

The 99 reply is upgrade programmable intermediate wipe from original 19 replay and 292 is a lights left on buzzer so ignore them.
62 is my fuel pump relay.

1988 Mk1 Golf GTi Cabriolet 1.8cc DX, K-jet. Daily drive. 317,000 miles and counting
1978 Mk1 Scirocco GLS 1.6cc FR, Webber carb. Weekend toy.

It's a carb mate - it doesn't have any electrics either apart from an electric aerial.

Rubjonnys very helpful guide to all the fuse boxes and towards the bottom of the page is a list of relays and what they all do.

your fusebox is fine for a carby model, though that fuse holder on top is definitely aftermarket

Some of the rating on your fuses are higher than mine, No.3 in from left mine is 15 amps (blue)
Yours is 30 amps (Green)

May be worth finding out if you have the right amp fuses fitted as you car is different from mine.

So according to http://www.cabby-info.com/images/Electrical/87-89FusePanel.png  & the picture attached

Capture.JPG

i have the following fuses that is different to the original settings:

Seat belts (I have 10, should be 15)
Tail Lights, Parking lights(I have 15, should be 10)
Cig Lighter, Radio(I have 30, should be 15)
Fuel Pump(I have 10, should be 15)

Relays

Fuel pump is 1 not 62
Idle Control is 61 not 57

Could this cause an issue??????

since you have a carb there is no fuel pump relay, instead you have a #1 inlet heater relay so that is correct, as are all the other relays as I said ;)

just swap the fuses to match the list above, apart from you don't actually need a fuel pump one so you can pull that out entirely
