Front wiper

Good morning people, I have a bit of a problem.
My front wipers aren't working. I know my motor is good because if I put a wire of the positive directly from the battery to the power on the wiper motor it works. But I get nothing from the stalk.

It's a original mk1 golf wiper motor. Would a 99 Relay work with this? Could anybody help please.

Also if any has go any photos of the clip that goes onto the motor it's self would be great please as my wires aren't in there clip and I need to know what position they got on please.

And I've made 1 good loom from two so the stalk side might not be right either. So if anyone could assist me with this it would be great.

yep try a 99 relay first, if it doesnt fix it then you'll have variable intermittent when you figure out the cause.

you should see ignition live between the grey/black and brown wires on wiper plug for a start

is it a mk1 or mk2 wiper motor

I've got a mk1 and a mk2 one but need advice on fitting the mk2 one as it doesn't mount the same. Unless it's just me lol.

mk2/3/4 motor fits the same just you miss off the lower mount, or make something to bolt to it. i never bothered and it worked perfectly fine

Right now I know what I have to do I'm probably having problems because I'm running the single wiper so only one place to bolt it in
