DAB connector.

I've installed my stick on DAB aerial on the rear screen, threaded the cable through the long grommet that carries the headed screen cable between the main body and the hatch but there isn't enough room to get it through the small one to get it inside the car, I've tried just closing the hatch but no matter where it crosses the hatch seal it leaks so I'm going to have to cut the cable and feed it through the small grommet.

The problem is I can't find any solder only male/female SMB connectors, they all have crimp ferrules I was thinking of just connecting the conductor and the braid on small through crimps, do you think it would work?
