Another MFA problem!

Post

Hi all, rather than jump on someone else's post I thought I'd start me own as the problems are slightly different!

I've just bought a 91 sportline, and the video the guy sent me had the mfa working, but now I've had time to play around with it, it doesn't seem to work at all. My symptoms:

Only the clock is displayed
When I press the mfa button nothing happens on the display.
Moving from 1 to 2 is spring loaded but again nothing happens.
Incidentally the reverse lights don't work either. Not sure if that's related?

Would someone mind mind giving a quick run through of what to check and how  please? I saw a post on the other thread about some tubing that needs to be connected but not sure what this is about.

I've looked on previous posts but cant find anything, and I don't have a user manual unfortunately!

Thanks
Jon

could be the switch to gearbox, and do you have the small bore pipe connected to the mfa. ? goes through bulkhead to area around head/intake. part of vac, no return valve.

There's a wire running down the wiper switch arm and there's a plug on the end of it which fit's in the back of the instrument cluster, could of fell out or not put back in…

You might be able to see behind the instrument cluster by removing the card panel above the pedals and shine a light up behind the instruments cluster but not a easy position to get into, can be made easier if you remove the drivers seat.
