Item 10C on the diagram - it says "protective disc" that helps fit the front arch liner to the outer wing lip. Looks like some kind of washer - but you need 8 x screws to fir the liner to wing - BUT only 6 of these discs???????? Can anyone help

Just had a look at mine, I have 8 screws holding the wheel arch spat on but only the 6 screws on the inner lip of the spat have a big washer on them (item 10c). The screws on the bottom front and back of the arch spat do not have them.
Here's a picture, hope this helps!

My fixing points had rotted away - hence the question….
On the parts diagrams it appears to be a self tapper through the wing lip into a speed nut on the liner.
Therefore when you fit the arch trim to the wheel arch it must be slightly proud due the self tapper heads holding the liner….. if that makes sense??
Any thoughts??

Thanks for the info. I am repairing the lip on the wing as that is that is needed really.
Is there any chance you could take a few pics of your new wing showing the holes and where they are?? Sorry to ask but it seems a bit of a mystery how these liners fit. I have the correct fixings (screws/speed nuts) its just this so called "protective disc" that is rather puzzling. Especially when they appear to be round not square like your holes! I did have a couple of slightly larger round holes in the wing lip - about the size of a pencil.
Anyway if at all possible a few pics would be very greatly appreciated - if the wing is not buried away somewhere inaccessible!
Off to Cornwall tomorrow on a day return to see my 99 yr old Grandad who has flu and is in hospital.
Thanks again .
