Thanks

Quarter lights, is that a window or a "marker light".. y'alls vernacular is strange to me.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

It means the small windows in the doors  :)

Take the door card off, there will be a bolt holding the bottom of the quarter light upright, then there is a screw holding it in at the top corner of the door.

Once these are removed the upright can be taken out. Then it's a good old tug, and the quarter will come out.

Then reverse what you just did after you replace the seal.

You may need to pull out the rubber guide/seal where the window glass runs up and down at the top of the door to see the screw.

I suppose I should of asked front or rear quarter windows…..

Don't know about the rear but the front on a Cariolet has 2 screws at the top under the wiper seal, and at the bottom of the channel on the door…..I think it was the same on the Rabbit/Golf with the pivot window. I know the Cabby has 2 screws one for the seal and one under it at the top

Yeah I dunno about your modern mk1's, but my rather basic old 74, was literally a self tapper at the top corner, you could access it without removing the upright seal… and one bolt holding the bottom of the upright behind the door card.

Regardless, I'd say it's pretty easy once you get stuck in.
