Is this what you're looking for?

Or Mark at Classic VW is a far better price.

I need to do the same repair on my car but not sure where all the welds are on the existing panel. You have to remove the towing eye and jacking point from the existing or make a new one a.f.a.i.k.!
I'm open to suggestions and help on this repair as well!:)

I got my panel from VW Heritage in the August bank holiday sale but it looks like VWH have hiked their prices in the last few days.

The problem is access to this bit I fear.

It's supposed to have flagnes on it that the rear panel welds to. If this lot has gone then it may be a rear panel off job. But that does seem somewhat mad, i must admit.

Perhaps carefully chopping out the area of the rear panel to give access to the back of the chassis leg os the way forward.

How's your welding, filling and painting skills  :P

Good luck mate

I think your spot on with your assessment on that job. I definitely think a section of the rear valance has to be cut out then rewelded back in after repairing that chassis section

I have to reapir that section of the rear panel anyway so I was going to chop it out and at the same time as I do the chassis leg. Your panel looks solid though so it would be a shame to cut it but I don't see any other way!
If you start yours first can you let me know how you did it and if I start first I'll let you know!

put it on a spit or a ramp, you should have access to the rusty part then, repair panels are available for it.
