mk1 golf gti front window black trims

hi all , was looking for some advice on how you put the black gti trims back onto the car , what type of glue or is it double sided tape  also how do the trims that cover the seat runners fit on ? any advice will help  cheers nigel

Depends on the trim installed.
On a "Cabriolet" black or black chrome waist trim they use a clip.  (middle of the door)

The clips are white and go into pre-drilled holes in the wings and door panel.

Same with the lower rocker trim, they use a redish clip…little larger than the mid door.

I suppose it all depends on what type of trim.  I had a Diesel Golf off the showroom that had stick on waist trim….

If you can show a picture of which trim you are talking about, and a pic of the rear of it, and then rocker (low beneath door edge), ( low waist ) above doors bottom edge or (Waist middle) of the door, we can better advise you.

 

 the trim that i am looking to fit back on is on the front window outside the A pillars   and the two seat runner trims  cheers nigel

I thought that vw heritage still had the "A" pillar trim.
Can't assist you too much as I am across the pond.
