Interior for 1989 Cabby GTI

Hi,

I want to replace the interior of my 89 Cabby GTI, the interior is in good condition for the age of the car, however I would like to get more comfortable front & rear seats once I replace the interior carpet.
I have heard that I could use the seats from a new'ish Polo, however  I would appreciate if someone could advise which year of Polo I could take these from without any alterations if at all possible.
