Depends which door.. front or rear.. front first try removing door puller, door puller lever ( screw under winder cover pop it off) 2 screws in door handle then lift  twist the  handle upwards until comes loose, pull door cards off/ lever off.  if motor or manual winders,by undoing the nuts on door, that should give room to manoeuvre to refit in guides
Rear is similar remove window winders any over lapping trim covers and pull.

Be aware that the metal rail/clamp that holds the window can rot allowing the window to drop in the door. I've had this and also had it where it had just popped out of the rail/clamp (its wedged in with a strip of rubber)

If its rotted you'll need to get a replacment before you can fix it.

Always nice to know the year, and model, tin-top or Cabriolet, as well as front or rear, and manual or electric.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Hi yes sorry i'm new to this. Its a 83 Tin top 5 door GL Model. Its the front glass manual mechanism. I have removed the door card and found the glass had come out of the slider. I have tried to fit it back in but only one side seems to snuggly fit back into the slider. It works but am not convinced how secure it is. The problem occurred when i closed the door with the window down. So i wont be doing that again. I am now going to give it a good clean and oil 20200506_152957.jpg

Fit a thin piece of rubber mat, foam between the gall and hold/clip. Or a run of silicon to hold it in place .. I cant remember if the 2 bolts add a bit of tension to the glass also..

Dont worry.. people here to help…best they can with limited info.. most things can be fixed…

Its popped out of the rail/channel/clamp, maybe becuase its lost its grip by being corroded?

When mine did it I removed the glass and channel (undo the two bolts) and gingerly tapped it back on with a rubber mallet.

As above if its gone missing use a fresh piece of rubber mat or foam
