so looks like i may be getting into some serious bodywork soon.
going to need to replace both wings-
im going to loose the side repeaters as cars 1985 & dont want to mess up cutting the holes
but antenna…

do i or dont i?
tbh my wife usually forgets to pull the thing up anyway after taking cover off & only listens to radio 1 or cd
what have people done before & what other options are there?
only thing i can think of is dab windsceen antenna
those fm windscreen jobbies never work!

antenna hole

Fit an electric antenna, goes up when radio is on and goes down when ignition is off.

I did not want an antenna hole in the wing of my Mk1 Scirocco and I fitted a cheap short rubbery antenna (got mine from a local motor factors) behind my glove box and it works ok on strong radio signal eg BBC radio stations and some local stations if reception is good but my radio does not find all stations my other car does and the reception can be weak but it's a trade off I'm happy with.

I guess it depends on how strong the radio signal is in your area?
