Upgrading my GLS 1.5 MK1

Hi, i have a golf mk1 1.5 GLS with about 75hp, i want to get it up to 90 hp or 100, but i cant build a strategy of mods to do that. I would like to keep the engine natural aspirated and carburated do u have any suggestions ?

Just throw in a Clipper engine, instant 90bhp with no real changes. To get more power, you're into swapping the exhaust and re-jetting (and probably rolling road setting up) the carb, which might be much more costly or time consuming than you anticipate.

Decent exhaust, weber twin choke, ported head, road sport type cam.

Did a head for a 1500 a year or so ago, performs well apparently with a GTi cam fitted, made a bit under 100hp I think, would crack that with a decent cam….Decent engine the 1500.
