MK 2 dash installed but which centre console?

I'm looking to put a centre console in but unsure which would be the closest fit, MK1 will obviously fit the tunnel but not sure about the dash end or the MK 2 will fit dash but not sure about the tunnel/shift area.
On a side note the MK 2 dash probably (guessing) isn't sitting exactly plumb but any miss match would be low down so not so noticeable, tha, where as the MK 1 could be miles out I suppose!
The gear shift is inside the car but I'll move it back underneath when I install the new gearbox.

Ant thoughts folks?

Any Cabriolet will be close as teh Cabriolet is a mk1., but there were 2 styles.
a/c and non a/c..

So did the later  Cabrio have a MK 2 dash?
