I'm having a dumb moment (or maybe not), I have a lhd mk1 and want to upgrade the servo and mc.
Can I just use what all you rhd dudes use seeing as your servo's are in the same place? Or will I encounter other issues?
Mk2 16v 9" servo, cut the thread down and fit the mk1 Clevis? It's just I've read a few old threads saying the threaded length is longer on a lhd car?
Or am I being dumb and should I just search for a lhd 9" servo?
I'm a bit confused, anyone actually done a lefty that can confirm any of my ramblings?

I had to source a Booster and I just found a good one at the Wreckers, but then again LHD is common here.
I have the Standard 90 M/C I did have to reset the Pedal Free-play on the Booster and MC change.
Can't tell you on the length thing, as I have only had a LHD 81 Diesel Golf, that only the MC went out after about 140Kmiles.
The Booster that I had to change was my fault as I broke the Push Rod off the Diaphragm….
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.
Where are my DIY Links?

but that may not be a problem, I dont know if you even need to fit the mk1 clevis for lhd? you do for rhd as the mk1 brake linkage box thing has a spring inside it allow the servo linkage to return, the mk1 pin has a wee hole in it for the spring to attach to

Has a rather long rod?

The RHD ones are much shorter than that so I guess you'll be needing a LHD MK2 one, or make up a bit of threaded bar to extend the mk2 rod. Make sure you have clearance to the turret for it though, from memory its pretty tight back there

Yeah, my plan is buy a RHD one, and mod the rod!
But yeah, I best have a measure first, tighty tight!
