Temporary 3months Insurance

My insurance runs out on my mk1 golf 20vt conversion this month and I am only wanting to insure it until october time, to put it away for winter.

I am currently insured by adrian flux modified insurance, declaring the many mods on the car.

I am yet to inquire with adrian flux, but does anybody know if I can just get a temporary insurance, and does anybody have any recommendations of the best companies to go with for this.

All cars must have insurance on them at all times legally ?

Don't think you need insurance on a car if it's not on the public road - however, you would probably find that it's not covered on your household insurance though so if it was stolen / damaged / fire or whatever then it wouldn't be covered….which is a bit risky.

Yes i did think that, even though it will be securely locked away in a garage. Do you know if insurance companies have policies for storage, rather than for the road?
