Insurance Renewals - Barry Grainger?

Post

So last year I paid around £170 for a 5,000 mile policy and an agreed valuation. My renewal has just come through at £300 for the exact same! The cheeky sods.  After a quick phone call it's down to £180 but this time with 2,000 miles at my request (I don't even do 500 miles to be fair).

I've been on a classic comparison site and Barry Grainger has come up trumps at £140 - I've never heard of them before, has anyone got an reviews of them, or any other company to try please? I don't mind paying a little more for a better company.

Thanks

I have been really happy with Carole Nash, and they also appear to have the Classic car owner at heart, organise local meets and actively support our AGM.  I PAY £120 for my agreed value at £15k think that is 5000 miles, but maybe 3k, never worried as I struggle to do 1k.

I ended up going for Footman James.

They beat my Lancaster renewal. Weren't as competitive as Barry Grainger but the reviews for BG were terrible.

I've got a few claims under my belt due to thefts so I'm once bitten, twice shy when it comes to insurance.
