Agreed valuation payout

This is just out of interest really but knowing how insurance companies normally work when having to payout I was wondering if anyone has had problems when an agreed valuation has been in place. I know many of us do have agreed valuations and like me would expect that to be honoured if the unfortunate should happen, but I was just wondering if anyone had experience of this?
