Newbie with Pirelli wheel questions...

Hi All, can anyone give me some advice on the P slot wheels. I have seen a couple of wheels for sale in 14" dia. with only 8 P's around the outside. All the others I have seen are 14", but have 9 P's around the outside. I know that there were some wheels made in 15" as well, but it's the 14's that I'm interested in.

Does anyone know when the 8's were used (and where I can find a set!!)? I'm pretty confused.

All Campaign wheels had 9 p's Part number 171601025A  size 6Jx14ET38

What is this wheel with the 8 P's?

Looks a bit strange that one. I'd check the ET on it as it looks like the area where the bolt holes are is very recessed. If ET40 or over it was prob. an aftermarket wheel meant for a Vauxhall (guessing here). Std Mk1 (and Mk2) Gti P slots have the part numbers between the bolt holes as do the 15" Ronal made versions.
Like the centre cap / bolt box thingy though !

It's definately from a Golf Mk1. I did hear of another for sale on the edition38 forum a couple of months back, but it had sold by the time I contacted the seller.

Vauxhall and Mk1 Golfs share the same PCD I think so the wheels would be interchangeable where offset allows.

The Vauxhall Pirelli Ps had 9 Ps too though!

I didn't know that any Vauxhalls ever came with P wheels!! The mystery deepens….

I've done a Google search on "Vauxhall Pirelli P slot" and "Opel Pirelli P slot" and it hasn't brought anything relevant up. I'd love to be a bit different and have the 8 slots on my car.

Never heard of or seen these before!

I can remember a set of 15" Ps with 8 Ps on ebay last year. Are they 15"?

To be honest, I'm not sure if they're 14" or 15". Did the 15's have 8 slots then?
