T25 Autohomes - Pop Top - 1984 - "Grumpy LAH"

Post

Hi all,

I sold my old MK1 (more door chic) 18 months ago, she went to a good home so I was pleased.  The plan was to buy a T25 camper so family could join in the fun.
It took 18 months to find the right one, having looked at 2 others before.

The second I saw the add I knew I had to have her, 4 miles away, pop top project at the right price….the next day she was mine.

The van was owned by a teacher at my daughters new school, he was also a member of 80's - 90's forum.  Its is a 5 speed and has a later engine, LPG with a massive tank.  It also has mk1 Golf headlight upgrade + bike rack, Awning and loads of new parts and panels.

Next update - bringing her home

Hi Andy,

Thanks, as with most 30 year old motors she needs welding, the jacking points and a door steps.  The body work needs some love on the seams and arches.  The roof needs some attention but nothing major. Overall she is in good shape and not too much work

it needed some welding, and i cannot weld. so if i spent the moeny to get it done i woudlve been left with an epty panel van and would have to kit it out again.
i loved it but i wanted an actual camper not a converted panel.

the plan was to get  a T4 but ive ended up with another cabby :)
