Bit of a laugh with VW.. recently booked my daily in for the Longlife service.. on the phone the guy said it's a full service.. ?? I was what do you mean? He said all the filters/oil etc.. I said that should be standard surely for the good running of the car? He said no & came out with all the nonsense! I was shocked at this as I thought it would be better for the car for it to be all changed together.. anyway, since the emissions nonsense I had it sorted last June. The engine management light had been on since about a week after.. not happy, I couldn't be bothered to contact them as service was up soon (April, but couldn't get me in) the car was running fine. Dropped the car off Tuesday, VW contacted me to say it will be ready by 4ish, hired a courtesy car to get me back & fire work, got gown there 4.05. Then I had sorry Mr Galow, we haven't washed & vac'd your car, it'll be about 20-25 minutes. I said I was told the time & it's not done! £316 later, for a 'full service' #ripoff I was kept waiting til 4.35 before my car was out 'the front' not even vac'd or cleaned!! Poor customer service! Then the service indicator or one of next service, days/miles, was not showing anything!! Had to take it back down on Thursday for it to reset!! Then told it will show up in its own time!! Asked for a printout of the SH, i was handed this & it even missed the last service 2 years ago, the excuse - it's the VW database & I can't do anything about it! Hello! I'm the customer, surely they should make an effort or find out why this isn't showing??!! Not happy at all.. the price we pay for FVWSH hey. Whinge over, the sun is shining beautiful, time to get the cabby out..
