It is really nice to read the comments about my old Land Rover.
Made in 1959 I have had it since 1978.
Now on its third time round the clock (233,000 miles)
Have tried to keep it original but have made a few changes over the years.

It had a Fairey Engineering Overdrive fitted when I bought it.
Needed a new chassis which I had galvanised before fitting.
Bulkhead was changed about five years ago. Managed to get one from South Africa, no
rust at all but was also galvanised before fitting.
All aluminium door tops - made by Rocky Mountain and patterned on the originals - are
now on.
Parabolic springs front and rear make for a much more comfortable ride (relatively speaking).
Disc brake conversion fitted to front with a servo means that when I now press the brake pedal
I stop on the same county.
Full stainless steel exhaust.
Could really do with a re-paint.

I should, however, have added that when the sun shines I potter around on the old motor cycle.

All the nice comments about the old :Land Rover very much appreciated.
