Grey Fergie
5 years ago went halves with a friend on a 1956 Ferguson TEF Diesel tractor, kept on his small holding. We (me mostly !) did a few repairs, front steering kingpin bushes, front wheel bearing, starter wiring and new bonnent/grille parts to replace the rust and filler one on it.
Can't remember if I did any posts back then. After an intermission for various reasons we have made a restart on refurbing it, beginning with the backend. Repalcing wing skins painting it and sorting wheels/tyres.
Discovered brakes don't work as its leaking oil from the hub seals….

Seems like we have similar interests buddy! Caddy’s and Massey’s lol! I’ve just inherited a 1964 (same vintage as me) Massey 3 cyl 35X from my father in law. Caught fire many years ago and got it started recently. Spent a shed load on parts to restore! Cracking tractors especially with diff lock too

Yeah a 35x is a much more capable machine than our little TEF having live drive, diff lock, more power, better hydraulics etc but the little greys have a charm.

Update, finished refurbing front and rear ends, new rear tyres, rewired (about 6 wires…). Got it road registered. Some pics;
