VW Caddy MK1 Cherry Red "Shelley" GTI OEM+ #F4NVW

Here's my VW Caddy MK1 called "Shelley", She's 1 owner from new with original paint and panels, full history including services and MOT's, 1.6 diesel in original Cherry red which was a special order colour for the Caddy so rare. This truck has a very rare Truckman top from the dealer new and has never ever been removed, and has a full bed liner so the metal bed is mint. The truck is solid and the bulkhead is perfect and recently passed the MOT with no advisories but has a few rust spots and poor paint matches on previous rust. However she will be treated to a proper light restoration, and modifiactions to come.







She's already had a full T Cut and polish and the paint is very thick and shiny, also the wheels, mirrors (not in pic above), drums have been refurbed and look much better, keeping the original "Elephant Ear" mirrors which are very rare now. Also the plastic trim like the bumpers and rubbers have been blacked up and soon the underside and arches will get a full underseal and waxoil, including the bottom of doors and anywhere else they rust and i can waxoil.

would love one of these and rare to fine one that hasnt been abused

The plan is to treat the rust and make it 100% sound as its not far off at all now. Then either leave the original patina of odd bits of paint here and there or get some panels painted to make it perfect. I have plan for modifications, possibly a hidden stereo in the glove box and speakers behind but nothing untasteful. She's staying close to the original truck she has always been. A credit to the previous owner.

The original engine all serviced and sweet, soon to be completely degreased and detailed and the all weather cover to help protect her from the elements.

Starting to take shape

First Harbour Arm show.

Busy weekend waxoyling everywhere including behind door cards, tailgate, sills, bulkhead, bonnet, wings, cab and anywhere you could get the nozzle. Also undersealed the whole floorpan and arches so over-protected from rust😀.

Good call doing it on the road and not on your driveway, saves time clearing up!

Got a set of Fabia VRS seats.

Latest update. Front fully adjustable coilovers and new bushes. Rear flipped axle and relocated brake adjuster and brackets. Now got lots of GTI parts including; chin spoiler, spats, tarantula alloys, rear arch covers and black VW badge and #ohsoretro and MK1 OC livery. VRS seats going in soon with some fabrication, then a full service and a engine clean. Then a full detail and clean up.

Looks good, that duck bill won't last 5 minutes though! Lol

Smoked headlights and indicators now. Also have the VRS seats fitted, really comfy and new private plate to be on soon!

New number plate on. F4N VW. VRS seats now fitted and full alarm and immobiliser with sensors. Freshly polished up with bumper gel and tyres blacked up.
