'81 Cabby Resto

We joined in 2019. Have had all sorts of vws - Bay van, Transporters, mk2 16v gti, mk2 synchro, B3 Passat, T25 doka but this is our first mk1 - a 1981 cabby. 

 She needs a lot of work, most of which we'll do ourselves in the next few months - welding is now underway. 

Advice about the dash (recover or replace), roof replacement and seats needed…

What's a good price for the seats to be reupholstered? Where can we source tartan and plain black fabric for the seat fronts and inserts that won't cost £70 per metre?
