Like a white cabriolet    I did look at red roofs on mine and looking at yours with the wheels it does suit it .

If you have had the car painted get some foil protection on the front of the rear arches or it will be covered in stone chips in no time… I found out the hard way..

something like this, you could get clear ones as well if you don’t want the spots…

Thanks 🙂 I need to paint it.. I used to work in a bodyshop so I'll probably do it once I've got a bit of use out of it.

For now I've just my mopped half of it so far and a few touch ups!

It looks like new painted in the pictures… good job on tidying up the paint work and yes when you can, get out and drive it as that's what it's all about

Thanks :)My wife tried to talk me into black.  I did order a black one then I changed it to red. Glad I did as it makes the car I think.

Took it out for a spin today to get some essentials. Only managed to get to the end of the road as the rear arches are fowling on the tyres.  :| Next Job i guess…

funny enough the project forsale car i have is doing the same, although on more spirited drives with 2 fatties sat in it.  Essential travel last week to pick up a poorly 1996 championship Subaru turbo , money spent and more money to spend to put right, hoping something 380bhp….  in my mk2 essential travel ….paintshop to spray garden furniture, and to bring home landrover parts to sell on ebay…
Garages can stay open….since people still have to keep cars maintained

Cleaned the seats - still could probably do with one more going over but they will do for now..

Just the door cards left to clean and stop the new headunit from rattling! Anyone have any tips? :| IMG_20200331_181811.jpg IMG_20200331_181830.jpg IMG_20200331_181833.jpg

Is that a SPH‑10BT?

I have the same issue. The back doesn't go into the oval mount at the back of the dash. I was think of attaching a spare cage to the back, but am hoping someone has a better idea.

When the steering wheel was first put into use in automobiles, it was called the whip. The term has now been generalised to classify any automobile.

My Clipper project

There’s often a screw in rubber bung that spaces the bottom of the unit away from the back of the dash. These are usually adjustable screwing in or out depending.

Yeah it's the SPH 10BT… I'll take it back out tomorrow and see if there is any adjustments like Carl just mentioned..

It's annoying though as I've just spent weeks stopping other rattles and now I have generated another 😬 🤣

Should this come with the dash or head unit?

Is there not a metal bracket attched to the dash,I'm not sure if screwed or riveted but remove that and you will have another 1" or so..

It fits okay with the bracket in, but how do you mount it to the bracket?

They dont forgot the bracket it's just a spacer to ensure heat sink works. Add a bit off rubber there and should stop moving. The head unit should have a metal cage which you tab to fit first dunno 4" 100mm of the head unit into dash. See if I can find a picture. To help. ..

Yeah, I have the cage. It just doesn't mount very securely to the flimsy bit of dash plastic.
