i decided to de grease the engine and the bay which reviled more oil leaks and water leaks this is when i realised i had a bigger job on my hands

off come the rocker cover because it sounded like a old sowing machine XD

which revealed a very slack cam time chain

when we had a hot couple of days in February i took full advantage of it and got some paint and wax oil in places that needed TLC!
whilst i was waiting for my new BC racing coil-overs because my old suspension was wrecked all round

That’s a great looking cab in a stunning colour and I like the seat material too. Sketchy bit of land you jacked it up on, rather you than me but if it works then who am I to question it. Keep the pics coming, being a newbie to the mk1 cab world i’m Picking up some good tips from fellow owners such as yourself.

CAMS out for new hydrolic tappets
new wishbones to replace the bent and war wounded ones and poly bushes
calliper carriers prepped painted and filed true  ready for the new gti vented disks and pads

thank you for your kind words ,i have learned not to judge a book by its cover as you can tell by the work ive been doing , im just a banana with a ebay account XD im dyslexic to so there will be more photos rather than typeing

can I ask where you got the custom scuttle from and if you bought it how much was it please?

my 14" th line splits was too small for my new look , so i brought some bbs rm splits in a  "15 next will be a colour change for the wheel centres either gold or blue to match the car  or do i leave them candy red ?

if you have facebook hes on there Benji Clarke is hes name say aaron with the blue cabby sent you , only £35 what a bargain !! think i may get it hydro dipped ???

On your wheel colour, personally I don’t think the red/burgundy colour suits the blue, body colour or just standard silver would suit your car a treat.

thats exactly what my other half said :D, the refurb will be end of season now as all the money ive spent to make it road worthy dont know how it went through its last mot

my mk1 blue cabby project

Awesome build mate.  Gorgeous colour.  

I don’t actually mind the candy red on the wheels.
