After 5 years without an engine, got the blighter in today.

Lots of cussing and a bit of paint to touch up but it's in - last awkward job done now 😊 945DDD0F-8528-4E3D-A702-A8688E2D84BD.jpeg E12E5DBD-0568-4FB7-8D33-A45CD5FCD454.jpeg EAF0BDAB-CC5E-420F-A9A6-AFCE85BA9010.jpeg

Yes wondered that, but no facility lift car to that height.

Lifted engine right up up and pushed car under it.

Went in ok to be honest - just fathoming the correct tilt.

Also I found that I needed to remove the rear central mounting bracket from under car as this was creating a problem locating the engine mount stud into the bracket. Can refit it separately now.

As all goes well it doesn't really matter as long as you have successful outcome mate

Bet that was twice as hard trying to use the crane on the stones!

I realised the gravel would seriously hinder the operation but I managed to get enough height on the engine lift to be able to push car under the engine and lower away. Once I sorted the correct tilt it went in pretty easily on the whole.

I removed the back engine mount as was a bit awkward with that on but can now bolt it back on it.

Relying on my son to tell me when we down enough was the serious worry !!! 😄
