This is my car as it was when I bought it back in 2008.
In around 2010 I decided to take it of the road to restore it.
I removed and rebuilt the engine as it seemed a tired and smoked a little.
I then proceeded to strip the shell bare to have it acid dipped and to get the bodywork back to mint condition…
Sadly that was how It was left a little over a decade ago.
Despite countless people telling me to sell it for parts or even scrap it, it is still my pride and joy even in this condition.
So I am starting the project again with the hope of having it on the road again at some point next year all being well.
So I've joined the club because I will need all the help I can get! 😂

Can't beat a long term project! Took me 24 years to get mine back on the road. Like you it was parked up for long periods with no activity. Well worth it in the end!
Keep the updates coming.

Looks a pretty sound and complete shell, unless you know its been bodged and full of filler did it need dipping rather than the odd localised repair?
I think the shell is reasonably sound.
The wheel well is shot and there is rust damage on the sunroof drains, floor panels, rear sills and arches from what I can tell.
I know there is repairs on the front valance and the one door was a replacement as it was a different colour behind the door card.
I really wanted it dipped so I know for sure any unseen issues and rust are resolved and made sound before i have it painted.

It has a few more holes in him than when I left him but nothing I didn't expect, and the panels are all very straight apart from the front valance which was caused my me
