Newbie saying hello

Hi newbie chris ,  just like to say hello,  I have just been given my old mk1 gti back , my mum has owned it for the last 30 yr, it needs full restoration but is solid,  its a v plate 1.6 4 speed so a early model i believe.   Hope to speak to you all soon    chris
