U.S. VW owner stopping in to find some U.K. crossover parts

Hi,

I'm in the U.S. and our family had 2 Golf Mk1's when I was first driving and my older brother bought a black 1st-gen GTI new as his first car.   They were wonderful cars that stood up extremely well to the tests from a number of young inexperienced drivers.

Now I'm driving a VW T3 van and I joined to try to find some Mk1 crossover parts that I am having trouble sourcing in the U.S., namely the wider rear Mk1 tail light setup (lens, bulb holders and wiring pigtails).

Once I get permission to post in the classifieds, I'll put up a proper parts wanted ad.

Here is the ongoing saga of fixing up, maintaining and driving (and nearly dying in) a couple of old T3s with my husky "Tuna" on theSamba.com site:
