I bought a Mk1 cabby last year for my ma. She didn't want it so now its mine. I from the US. Hope that's ok haha. Anyway looking forward to be able to share fix and cruse stories. 20180308_142439_HDR.jpg

Welcome along mate.

A few of your countrymen here too so at least you'll understand some of the posts! We're pretty good at 'american' language now too.

Thank you! I'm actually from Mexico but call the US home for the last 28 years. I grew up with my parents driving VW's so my love of VW runs from childhood. Thanks for the welcome. I'll try to keep the 'Merica slang to a minimum haha.

Welcome! That's a nice looking Cabby, and it is awesome you're keeping it in the family after you originally bought it for your mom.

Any future plans for her (the car, not your mom)?

Thanks man, I like the clean European look. I guess we want what we don't have.

That always seems to be the way. The 3rd brake light is not terrible… kitsch even, but I always cringe when people are looking to swap out early small bumpers (the proper European ones) for our big 5mph bumpers  :P

Yeah, I like the sleek look of smaller bumpers as well
