Mk1 cabriolet digifant 2h ----- mk2 gti 8v digifant ecu?

Hi everybody, i am new at forum, my name is Mário, I'm from Portugal, and  34 years old.
I own a mark 1 golf cabriolet with 1.8 efi.
I am looking for a information, i am building a car for a friend, it is a mk1 cabrio 2h like mine but has a full mk2 gti 8v engine conversion except the management, he is using a factory digifant 2 ecu from the mk1 cabrio 1.8 wich has only about 97hp, i can't find this information anywhere and i know in uk there is plenty of blokes who have mk2 gti 8v with digifant units.
My question is, wich digifant ecu from a mk2 gti 8v will work in the mk1 digifant golf.
One important thing, this cars runs on lambda probe, i know some gti dont run on lambda and some does, but i can't identify wich ecu will work.
Probably a lot of people have done this conversion.
I know a megasquirt is an option but not an option for him.lol
