I need a new engine

Hi all. Newbie here. I just blew the gasket on beloved 1991 golf gti rivage.  Doh! I feel like a kid from the 80's.  I am having a tricky time finding a new engine as the old one is totally buggered. If only I had reached the slip on the motorway a little sooner.
Anyhow I was hoping someone out there might have a lead/pointers on finding a new one.
Any help would be much appreciated.
