Back in a mk1

Hi all

thought I would introduce myself, I've had 4 mk1 tin tops over the last 15 years and have been looking for a decent mk1 at a reasonable price for about a year, well to cut a long story short I have bought one finally, had it for 2 weeks now, car is a gti in Lhasa green on a y plate, has a mountain of paperwork including the original bill of sale from VW and every MOT from new, car gas been sitting in a garage for 8 years so will need a full resto but this has already started, car is very solid apart from rear arches which aren't bad but will be replacing.anyway thought I would register to say hi.

Ok so pics, doesn't look great at the moment but will have a full window out respray once I have sorted the arches and some other rust spots
