I have been happily using the forum for a while now but without a proper introduction, how rude! So accept my apologies for that!
I have an 85 GTi, obviously a cab. I love it very much and am working my way through all its niggles and problems.
I come from an air-cooled back ground, and still love my oldies but the Golf is making a great daily and has worked its way firmly into my heart!
I can hear myself asking all the silly newbie questions but so far everyone has been kind and helpful! (unlike some of the air-cooled forums would have been!)
Anyway, heres my attempt at a decent photo of the old girl;

Welcome
I’m reasonably new here also and have found the forums a great help and at times inspiration to get stuff done on my cabby that remains a work in progress.
It doesnt matter where I’ve been in mine, even just a trip to work, the car gets people smiling and waving, the bright colour may help but I think it’s just the fact that so many people love these cars that gets the attention.
Enjoy!

Cabbies are great.
There’s lots of things worth doing on these.
If it’s a daily car for winter too, consider putting heated seat kit in.
Toasty buns in the morning.
I’d look at getting a windblokker they kill the cabin pressure and wind noise.
So even on cool days with the heated seats on, blower on hot, blokker in place you can still have roof down.

Heated seat kit eh? Sounds interesting. If nothing else it will help dry the seats!
To much agro to put a wind deflector in as the kids are with me 65% of the time?
I'm a hard core top downer anyway. If it's not slashing down the top is!

Thanks!
It does get the nod once in a while.
To be honest this is subtle compared to the other rides.
