Is there a 1.4 version? anything that is a GTi my friend wont get insured on.  but a 1.4 would be fine. how easy is it to come accross them by chance perhaps on autotrader?

There was a 1.3 and a 1.5 (1.5's are very rare now though). As I recall, 55 bhp and 70 bhp respectively.
