hi to all names jim i've been a vw nut for years. first project was a 79 gti in mars red. 2 years to restore 2 weeks to kill, murdered by a rover 600 in broad daylight! other mk1's i've owned are an 86 caddy,83 gti,85 gti cab. all of which were great fun.
still enough of the history current vw is a mk 1 van which has had a full gti makeover in alpine with  white piper cam, porshe 944 leahter seats lowered gassed and braced.a great fun car. pictures to follow soon hopefully.
the misses has a corrado but its fat and slow so we don't talk about it……….the car that is not the misses!
