Hello Newbie residing in Bedford
I have been without a VW for quite a few years now. My first 5 cars were VW beetles. I moved on from them to a MK2 8v GTI, then a 16v MK2 GTI, and a couple of sciroccos. Over the next 10 years I had 30 or so different cars and bikes (I do get bored easily). Eight years ago I finally got hold of a MK1 Scirocco Storm, thinking that it would be my keeper.
A bit of an accident involving me, my bike a sales rep from Liverpool and an articulated lorry ended all that. He got 6 points and £150 fine for lack of due care and attention I got a broken back and a long stay in hospital. Anyway that was then, now things are quite a bit better and I have just become the proud owner of a 1987 MK1 Golf Clipper Cabrio Auto.
Browsing the site before made my purchase sealed the deal for me really seeing what people are doing with their MK1 Golfs now.
Looking forward to the summer (fingers crossed) getting the top down, and quite probably a few mods for my clipper
Regards
Gavin

A couple of pics as requested.
Enjoying the sun at the moment, I have a few ideas for improvement. Not exactly sure which way to go at the moment. Although I have ordered a coilover suspension set. How low should I go?
