Hello, new here

Hi,
I've registered today and I'm here to say hello and introduce myself.

I'm Jayne, and the new owner of a 1986 GL auto cabriolet. We've had 2 cabriolets in the past, an '86 CC then a '80 GL, both 20 years ago.

This time will be different and I know I'll be here a lot asking plenty of questions and needing help.

The car has 250K miles so my husband will rebuild the engine and get the box looked at. It'll go on a trolley and have a full strip down, respray (in and out) then rebuilt. Hopefully it'll be ready for next summer. Luckily we own a body shop and he's good with engines and we are hoping to get 90% of the car done ourselves.

Thanks for reading,

Jayne

Edit… not sure why I put so many pics. There was only supposed to be 1

Welcome along, don't know if it's the angle of the picture/wheel but the front wheel looks to far back in the wheel arch, has the car been in a accident.

Hi and thanks for the welcome.

Yes it's been in an accident and we bought it from auction. Only got it on Wednesday so changed the wishbone yesterday. All sitting nice now and turns left again 👍
