just read the history of the club, and the car ,and cant help but feeling a little nostalgic … See this cars been in the family for 12 years now and … Wow …
You hear many stories about reliability this, and reliability that ,but overall reliabilty ? That belongs to the mk 1 … My time with it has been a interesting one .. The odd hickup, NO major breakdowns , but always coming out the other end, rolling on …
The advice here is A+ , and I would just like to thank everyone for their hard work, in maintaining the tradition ,that is the mk1..

As ive said … Twelves years and still going strong, in standard guise, so why fiddle ?
The designs timeless, engines reliable, so the cars gonna have to start falling apart, before I budge .

The reason why there’s a crease at the upper quarters compared to the other golfs is because when the body panels were being stamped the press was misaligned.
