Advice please!!!!!

Hello all, My name is Liam, I'm new here so please bear with me. I live in Poland ( I moved here couple years ago), I'm looking at buying my first mk1, it's a 1982 Golf C nothing special just something as its my first project. I have spoken to the seller, it's had 3 owners ( twice him) the second owner had it for 18 years and when he passed away the seller brought it back off the man's family a little over 3 years ago, sadly it's just been sitting there for all that time. Minimum rust, accident-free, and also the seller said the car has 97% all original inside and out. He wants 7000z? ( £1640 ) I would go to see it but it's a 7 hour drive from where I live. I don't want to blind buy and make a mistake so can you lovely people help me out. Any questions I will try to answer. Thank you
