Suspension

Post

Hi lads and ladies just new to all this and was looking for some help with suspension parts and poly bushings.
I'm after getting an 83 GLI cabrio and would like to lower it a little. My family are against it so need some help from the outside.
Any good suspension kit and poly bushing kits would really help. I don't know which brands are reliable or not.
Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks

Poly will give it a harsher ride.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Poly will not automatically give a harsher ride, they come in various hardness,s , Shore (spelling) i believe its called. Some are rock hard and some are softer than the rubber bushings i very recently bought. But they  should last much longer.

Lowering will give you a harsher ride than standard no matter what option you take but Poly bushes only make things worse depending on what you rebush

I've poly'd my wishbones, roll bar but leave the engine mounts and top mounts as rubber.

With lowering and comfort, shocks and springs are your best bet
