Popped Radiator

Hi Radiator popped tonight whilst idling on drive way. Not sure what temp gauge was at but I'm guessing it was getting to the top when it popped. It has popped on the inlet/outlet side, so obviously have to replace it, just looking for advise on what the actual cause may be? Could it be water pump? or thermostat? fan switch? Any guidance/advice greatly appreciated and also where would be a good place to source parts from in UK - reputable? Many thanks in advance

Safety valve in cap blocked?
Best to also replace the filler cap.

Could just be old age why the radiator broke especially if  it's the original one.
Get a new expansion tank cap and go for a blue cap.

There is a couple of sizes for the radiator so worth checking the measurements before ordering one, I got mine from from eBay, Nissans one for approximately £40 and it's been fine for the last 10 years.
Some people go for fully aluminium ones but they are around £140.

before replacing, I would flush and Backflush your system,  I would also suggest replacing the thermostat, Radiator cap, and Fan switch….
