yes mate….

nees a frame or two but it can be done. i read somewhere that a company does ready made rear engine frames for the mk1 shell to fit a bike engine in the back.

its alot of work tho :)

booze and boredom, the greatest mix :)

i've seen this some time back at e38.
should have stated……. front mount engine-fwd as i dont really want to loose the seating/boot.
i realise its gonna be a bitch to put the power down, but for now i'll live with it

Is this a good idea?, dont motorbikes have relatively poor torque figures? will not the weight effect it? works ok in competition cars because they are very light, i believe the example shown above is turbo,d which no doubt helps.

Front engine, front wheel drive would work, if the car was stripped out, but if you intend on keeping seats to carry 4 passengers, I don't think a Bike engine would be happy?

no, bike engines are built for lightweight and low torque figs.

its why car manufacturers make car engines for cars and bike engines for bikes… if you can get the mk1 down to below the 600kg mark then its worth it cos the acceleration is amazing..

but as above. if you load it with people, you will not only have any low end torque but you will probably burn the wet clutch out as its not built for high weight loads :)

you would get alot more power out of a 20v turbo or even a 1.8 16v engine for ALOT less money..

booze and boredom, the greatest mix :)

i only want the seats for the visual. not yet compared torque figs, but as its only a 1.1c it cant have a deal of torque anyways.
i like the idea of the 20v t but its not different anymore. 1 of my mates converted a rascal van to a zzr1100, what a blast that is :D

hr engineering made a hayabussa turbo mk1 that was 450od bhp , hp wins races tourque just makes it easy ;) . that was rear wheel drive though to get fwd the easy option would be to get a mk1 diff out the gear box to save faffing with the shafts and get a chain wheel atached to where the crown wheel would be and link them with a chain. youd obviously need a casing for the diff to keep it lubed.

Yamaha V-Max Engine?
150HP 150TQ
Not sure if it would be easier or better than a more common swap in any way,  probably not
